Our furry friends undoubtedly bring joy and happiness into every pet parent’s life. Right from innocently convincing us to play with them to occasionally causing chaos around the house, how can we forget the “puppy face” after all the mess? They surely brighten up the room and bring smiles with their heart-melting actions.
Our furry companions are indeed a solution to many of life’s problems.
Here are 4 “PAW-mises” we need to make this National Pet Day:
1. Nutritional treats– ‘Health is wealth’, so let’s ensure that we, as pet parents, abide by this even for our pets. A treat packed with the right proportion of nutritional elements could be one of the gifts to your little one on this “D-day”. It’s crucial for pet parents to understand the significance of the food that we feed our pets. As pawrents, we need to be more aware and conscious about our buying decisions concerning pet food and treats.
2. Spend more time– As pet parents, the most basic thing that we can do is spend more time with our furry buddies. It could be as simple as taking them for a morning or evening walk, planning a fun outdoor adventure once a month, scheduling a spa day, etc. Every effort made by pawrents makes a difference in our pet buddies’ lives. Even the smallest action matters to them, as love, care, and affection are the only things that our little ones crave for, obviously.. apart from the treats 😜.
3. Provide shelter– The most basic survival needs for us humans are food, water and shelter. The same goes for the poor helpless abandoned pets out there. It’s disheartening to know that our little ones are deprived of this basic need for survival. Providing shelter to abandoned animals gives them a sense of security, and belongingness, along with a safe and hygienic environment. This National Pet Day, let’s make a promise to ourselves to take even the smallest initiative and provide our little buddies with basic survival needs.
4. Adopt and don’t Buy– Every year, millions of animals end up in NGOs and rescue centers, where a shortage of resources makes it challenging to provide adequate care and support. Instead of buying pets, let’s ensure that we adopt these little ones and welcome them into our lives offering them a second chance. By adopting pets, we are not only safeguarding the animals but also contributing to the support of NGOs and rescue shelters which helps build a resilient community.
So, on this National Pet Day, let’s promise ourselves that our little ones live a Happy, Safe and Dignified life.
Wishing everyone a joyous National Pet Day filled with happiness and cheerful “Paws” !!
